I absolutely love it here. I came here for work last year and got to stay a week. This year when I heard I was coming back for work, I called Enid right away. It feels like home. Delicious breakfast! Enid's pastrys are to die for. Everything she makes is hard to stop eating. Homemade cookies in your room everyday (and not just one, a whole jar!!!) The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and Enid and Curt are so friendly. They really make you feel like you are just part of their family. Whenever I come here, I never want to leave. It is also right in the heart of Downtown Dodge City, walking distance to pretty much everything. When here make sure you get to talk with Charlie (the greatest retired US Marshall in the world). You can't miss him, he is the guy wearing the spurs, boots, hat, badge and gun. If he has the time he will always take you somewhere and tell you all about it. He took us through the Boot Hill Museum and it felt like we had our own private tour guide. He is a wealth of knowledge and interesting facts about Dodge. I have no reason other then work once a year to go to Dodge City, KS. It is rather far from Seattle to just pop in for a visit but now I feel like I would want to just because of this little B&B. I haven't found one yet that has compared.

This was the first time we have stayed at a bed and breakfast. I am afraid that Enid and Kurt have set the bar very high and all of the rest will have a hard time living up to this. We were on our way from Texas to Colorado and thought we would stop in Dodge City to see Boot Hill with our 8yo boy. This location is excellent and we were able to walk to all of the tourist attractions. Rooms were very clean and spacious, and the complementary homemade cookies in the room on check in were amazing. I don't think I have ever eaten this much for breakfast before. There was coffee and fresh orange juice to drink. We also had fresh fruit, eggs to order, bacon, pan fried potatoes, and an assortment of the best homemade pastries. Honestly these pastries are worth driving back to Kansas from Texas. My mouth is watering just thinking about them now. You can't go wrong staying here.

As a frequent business traveler, I usually stay in big chain hotels. I was very fortunate, however, that on my trip through Dodge City both the Holiday Inn and Hampton were booked. Because of that I got to try the Boot Hill Bed & Breakfast. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. This would be a pleasant brake on a long road trip. The house is very charming, the bed quite comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. The hosts were very gracious in providing me with a ride from the airport as well, which was incredibly helpful (there aren't really any taxis).

Stayed every trip west. Love the house, the food, the hosts!

We stayed here in August 2010 and highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Enid puts together a delicious breakfast and the rooms are clean and comfortable. If you want to enjoy an evening of great hospitality, friendly discussion and a place to relax and unwind, you will not go wrong staying here.

While my husband and I were preparing for our 17th wedding I read over reviews for lodging in Dodge City and I kept being steered to Boot Hill B&B. I had never stayed in a B&B previously so I was a little nervous not knowing what to expect but I was immediately put at ease as soon as I met Enid! Parking was easy right in the driveway, we walked in and Enid showed us to our room and gave us a key to the front door and our bedroom. In the bedroom we had fresh cookies (oatmeal, chocolate walnut, peanut butter), coffee pot, microwave, a beautiful quilt on the really comfortable bed, jacuzzi tub which we enjoyed (great water pressure and plenty of hot water), a full bathroom, and a balcony all in our room! There was a TV and lots of movies but we didn't watch. We enjoyed walking all over the area visiting historical places, returned around 9pm to enjoy our room and woke up the next morning rejuvenated, refreshed, and completely full after a wonderful breakfast of perfect over medium eggs, bacon, toast, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, orange juice, and ice water. The company we had was top notch as well, our neighbors in the miss kitty room, Kurt and Enid, and Marshall Charlie; all very good peeps! Would definitely return! How could I have forgotten my favorite part of the breakfast: the amazing potatoes!

I had never stayed at a B and B before. We found this place after looking at the Dodge House (which has terrible reviews). Kurt and Enid are this amazing husband and wife who could easily be family. They are incredibly friendly and inviting and made some great recommendations. We had a private bathroom, semi private balcony, and nicely apportioned room. Enid is an amazing cook and we found homemade cookies waiting for us in our room. Breakfast is awesome, amazing actually. Homemade pastries, excellent coffee, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, probably anything you would want, she would whip up. She even made extra bacon for my son, who is 12 and has been dubbed the bacon monster. Before breakfast, Charlie, one of the locals, comes by and visits. He is a historian, joke cracker, and genuinely nice guy. He knows and loves Dodge City. The location is right in the heart of the tourist area and a nice respite after traveling across the nothingness that is Western Kansas. I'm almost afraid to try another bed and breakfast now because the bar has been set so high.
